edge conference 2020- 20 years of edge
The EDGE programme was developed back in 2000 by us, the Clinical Informatics Research Unit. We operate as an applied research and enterprise unit within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Southampton. 2020 is the year to celebrate 20 years of EDGE and the conference has played a big part in this celebration.
The 5th annual EDGE Conference took place on the 10th and 11th March 2020 at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre located in North Hampshire. The venue is best known for its world famous international air show and pioneering work in aviation. Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre provides modern and sophisticated purpose-built facilities, which were perfect for the 2020 conference. The 2 day conference was hosted by Dr Kevin Fong, a medical doctor with a special interest in space medicine.
The conference theme centred around the brand new decade – 2020 – and envisioning new ways to take research to new heights with the use of EDGE.
