ISO 27001 & 9001 Certification

Our department The Clinical Informatics Research Unit, from the University of Southampton is certified to two internationally recognised standards: ISO 27001, the Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard, and ISO 9001, the Quality Management System (QMS) standard. Together, these standards provide robust frameworks for managing information security, protecting sensitive data, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services and continual improvement across our operations. Achieving and maintaining ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification demonstrates the Unit's commitment to safeguarding confidential information, meeting stakeholder expectations, and operating to internationally recognised best-practice standards. These certifications build trust with our clients, research partners, and collaborators, and have been independently audited and recognised by BSI.
