The University of Southampton Clinical Informatics Research Unit (CIRU) has a vacancy for a Junior Software Developer to join our KITE (Knowhow Ideas That Excite) team to work on innovative bespoke healthcare applications for the University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust and our international partners.
We welcome applications from all Electronics & Computer Science students with an interest in software development, client communication, project planning, version control, or automation (testing, DevOps). Please note that not all skills are necessary and we will provide in-house training and supervision to teach you, so your time with us will be a valuable learning experience. You will be working in a development team of four, partly on-site in our office at Southampton General Hospital, and partly remote with flexible work hours.
With thirty-one members CIRU is a growing part of the medical school and part of the CRUK Clinical Centre. The Unit develops EDGE, a clinical research management system for the NHS and international partners, as well as several smaller healthcare informatics platforms.
Inquiries can be sent to Bart Feenstra (firstname.lastname@example.org). Applications must be submitted through MyCareer, and should include a motivation letter, and a CV with relevant educational and/or work experience.
