CONNECTED EDGE Conference 2019

The EDGE International Conference – CONNECTED will take place on the 3rd and 4th April 2019. We will once again meet at one of the UK’s most central and accessible meeting points – The Vox Conference Centre – in the lively and bustling city of Birmingham.

Building on the remarkable success of the EDGE ASPIRE conference held at the beginning of 2018, the 2-day conference will focus on transferring new EDGE skills and practices to improve the efficiency of clinical research. With an extended emphasis on networking and collaboration, CONNECTED will entail greater opportunities to network and make lasting professional contacts. Delegates will gather valuable tips and insights from fellow users experiencing similar challenges and successes using EDGE.

Delegates will once again enjoy a mixture of user-led breakout sessions, engage in a selection of EDGE workshops from our top users, and hear from various inspirational keynote speakers from across the research community. The conference will bring together research professionals from the NHS, Clinical Research Networks, and other international organisations with the core aim to enhance clinical research across the UK, Canada, and beyond.

Delegate rates- Book now to save 10%

We are delighted to be offering delegates a saving of 10% up until Jan 16th 2019. The current rates are as follows:

  • 2-Day NHS/Education rate: £265.50 (saving of 10%, normal price £295.00)

  • 2-Day Non-NHS/Non-Education rate: £382.50 (saving of 10%, normal price £425.00)

The above rates include the 2-day conference (full access to all sessions, refreshments, and a buffet style lunch, evening drinks reception, followed by a 3-course networking dinner with entertainment on the first night). All aspects of the event offer you the opportunity to fully connect with other members of the research community.

Hotel accommodation is not included in the above prices and will need to be booked separately. Hotelfinder have been appointed as our accommodation agency to help you book your accommodation. Group bookings- book 5 or more places and save a further 10%!

We want to give as many people the opportunity to attend the conference as possible so we are offering a further 10% discount when booking 5 or more members of staff from the same organisation. To make a group booking please contact edgecomms@soton.ac.uk

Funding for your place

We encourage you to promote the importance and value of this conference to your line managers and ask for help with funding where possible. 

Name changes

We understand that organisations may change who they are sending to the conference or they may not quite know who that person will be at the time of booking. This is not a problem, we can update the delegate information free of charge, ideally by 1 week before the conference starts.  

Cancellations

If circumstances change and you can no longer attend then we would request you to find a colleague who can take your place at the conference so that your organisation is not missing out on the connecting opportunities. However, if you do need to cancel then we can offer a full refund free of charge up until the 3rd January 2019. If you need to cancel a place after this date then you may only receive a partial refund.
